In spring 2017, the city of Le Havre will celebrate its 500 year anniversary. A wonderful opportunity to rediscover the city through festivities celebrating the residents and talents that make it such a special place to be.

The city of Le Havre is rich with new projects and constantly changing. Completely rebuilt in the 1950s following the Second World War, it was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2005.

Cultural Dynamic

From May 27th to November 5th, 2017, the festivities - part of the larger "Un été au Havre 2017" (A Summer in Le Havre 2017) event - will invite everyone curious to (re)discover the city and its port, through a rich and multidisciplinary programme.

An artistic and surprising urban route will take shape in the city, thanks to plastic artists, designers, graphic designers, choreographers, directors and novelists, who are working together for the occasion.

Jean Blaise, the man behind the popular and successful first White Nights in Paris, will ensure the artistic direction of the project.

Numerous artists will be invited to provide a new perspective on the city. Among them, Chiharu Shiota, Julien Berthier, Baptiste Debombourg, Vincent Lamoureux, Vincent Ganivet, Stéphane Thidet and even Franck Gérard…
