Toulouse through Emilie’s eyes

The banks of the Garonne in Toulouse
Passionate about photography, she has turned Toulouse’s pretty little lanes and parks into her own studio. In fine weather, she likes to laze by the banks of the Garonne, enjoying little impromptu concerts and beautiful sunsets. And when winter comes, you’ll find her in the cosy little bars and cafes, peeking out from behind a big mug of hot chocolate.

La Guinguette

On summer evenings, the Garonne gets dolled up in pretty lights and locals savour the sunset at the La Guinguette pop-up restaurant: good wine and tapas out on the water!

Enjoy an impromptu concert

Toulouse is brimming with street artists, each more talented than the next. With jazz, folk, and even piano music, Rue Alsace-Lorraine keeps it swinging all summer long!

Young and in love...

The view of the Daurade is one of the best spots to watch the sunset in Toulouse. Everyone heads here to unwind, with that special someone or with their friends.

Hit the market

Morning in Toulouse means market time! The Saint-Aubin market is on every Sunday, and is where you can find local produce and crafts... Perfect for stocking up on healthy food and delicious treats to get the week off to a good start!

A Toulouse walkabout

As you explore Toulouse’s lanes, hidden little squares and fountains pop up here and there, just like the Place Sainte Scarbes not far from Saint-Etienne’s cathedral.

A gourmet break

From Michelin-starred restaurants to neighbourhood bistros, Toulouse is packed with culinary gems. The Anartiste in the Dalbade neighbourhood serves a range of treats, homemade dishes, and wines… All natural and locally sourced, and served in a welcoming atmosphere.

Vintage queen

While Toulouse is proud to be home to some of the biggest brands in fashion, we're more into little artisan boutiques or second-hand shops filled with treasures, such as the oldest and most well-known: Groucho!

Open-air exhibition

From Toulouse’s museums to the banks of the Garonne, culture has an important place in La Ville Rose, or the Pink City, as it is known. Paintings or photography, some fine exhibitions hang on Toulouse’s red brick walls.

Toulouse with a view

To take in the city from an original and quirky vantage point, go all the way to the top floor of the Galeries Lafayette department store, and have a drink on the terrace belonging to the restaurant Ma Biche sur le toit. The towers of Toulouse’s mansions and the city’s main monuments stretch out before your very eyes!
