Fort Saint-Eynard

Every year, the Grenoble Street Art Festival attracts dozens of local and international artists who bring flashes of colour to the city with amazing tags, graffiti, stencils, and monumental murals.
This photo, taken of a reflection in a puddle, shows @veksvanhillik’s “turtle” fish in its element.

Last light

We stopped for a minute to watch the daylight fade and capture this unique moment when the last rays of light disappear behind the Vercors Massif.

The Bastille cable car

Here’s a funny hashtag I made up when I first started using Instagram. With a bit of imagination, creativity, and perhaps a bit of dexterity, you can catch just about anything.
So I decided to catch the Bastille cable car.

Bonne Ecoquarter

A snap jumping in the Caserne de Bonne barracks, a breathing space right in the city centre, with this ecoquarter’s many green spaces.

Montée Chalemont

Let’s keep going along the banks of the Isère. At the fountain with the lion and the snake, we’ll head up the steps at the Montée de Chalemont. After a few steps, you can see the cable car’s bubbles line up with the handrail.

The Isère quayside

The beautiful morning light makes for a great stroll along the Isère quayside. The pedestrianised side is perfect for taking nice and colourful photos of the building facades.

Bon Repos Chateau

Late one July morning, the weather was perfect for visiting the chateau. In this shot, I put several generations in perspective.

Vizille Chateau

Every year, my family and I visit Vizille chateau with its vast grounds and every year I take the same shot of reflections in the water. It’s always breathtaking.

Jardin de Ville city gardens

What I like about this photo is the contrast between the shade of the plane trees in the city garden and the morning light as it caresses the facade of the old Lesdiguières mansion. You can even see some of the Collégiale Saint-André spire.
Everything’s in there.

The Téléphérique cable car restaurant

I love this terrace. It is an amazing viewpoint for the whole city. You can easily make out Europe’s longest avenue, just under five miles long.
That’s right: it’s in Grenoble!
