The Trou de Fer viewing point

In the Piton des Neiges mountain range, the Trou de Fer is one of the most beautiful sights on Reunion, with its waters plunging down from a height of 300 metres. A viewing point has been set up to delight ramblers with an even more spectacular vantage point.

The Piton de la Fournaise erupts

In 2015, the sight of the lava fountains and flows was magnificent on the path leading up to the Piton de Bert. The nights at the foot of the erupting volcano were lit up by the flickering lamps of the admirers.

The last rays of sun caress the wisps of smoke and light up the sulphur crystals forming around the cracks caused by the eruption.

After a night on the edge of the crater, the sunrise brings an apocalyptic sign. The blazing clouds make this a truly exceptional sight.

Waking up at the foot of a lava crater to the incessant noise of the eruption is an unforgettable experience, whether you're a photographer or just a nature lover.

The Langevin river

The magnificent Grand Galet waterfall and the pools at its feet. In the hot season, locals come here to picnic and bathe.

With several waterfalls feeding into it further upstream, the La Paix pool is a waterfall everyone can easily reach. A great place to visit early in the morning to catch the first rays of sunlight.
