Grand Prix Formula 1 at the Castellet in France

France and car racing are having a moment right now—Simon Pagenaud just won the Indy 500 for Team Penske, and Provence is in full racing attire for the Grand Prix de France at Le Castellet.
From June 20 to 23, 2019, the famous Paul Ricard du Castellet circuit hosts the 60th edition of the Grand Prix de France Formula 1 for four days of adrenaline-pumping festivities in Provence.

The thrill of engines and adrenaline rush—the kickoff of the Grand Prix de France Formula 1 is on Sunday, June 23 at 3:10 pm on the Paul Ricard circuit in Castellet. After the drivers' parade, as soon as the five red lights are out, the cars will race on one of the world's most legendary car racing circuits, redrawn in 2017 for more variety and spectacle.

On June 20, 21 and 22, racing enthuisasts and tourists will already be able to enjoy the festive atmosphere preceding the race. On the program, beginning Thursday, the teams do their first walk on the circuit, then, the following days the drivers inspect the tracks, three free practice sessions and a triple qualifying event to determine the composition of the starting grid. One-day and three-day passes are available for sale, so you don't have to miss the event under the blue skies of Provence. Many events and a closing concert complete the festivities.

In 2018, the Grand Prix of France of F1 made its return to the circuit Paul Ricard of Castellet in the Var. The competition, one of the most renowned in the discipline, was held from 1971 to 1990. The track couldn't be better situated, laying between the heights of Toulon and the Mediterranean. Recent developments including an unprecedented route of 5.8 kilometers (3.6 miles), above the average, which guarentee a thrill for drivers and onlookers!
