The park opens for the season on 12th April 2014 and for the first time the public can enter the Chateau du Puy du Fou, previously only visible during the Cinéscénie spectacular night-time show.
The huge Renaissance theme park is 80 000m² . Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and enjoy 4 new attractions this year.
The Chateau du Puy du Fou was formerly used as a backdrop in the Cinéscénie show, an epic historical saga performed at dusk during the summer. It will now open its doors to the public. Inside the building, classified as a historical monument, you'll be captivated by the thrilling mystery of the Puy du Fou coat of arms. Help solve the conundrum with the castle inhabitants.
There will also be brand new accommodation sites at le Camp du drap d'or (the Camp of Golden Cloth). In 100 comfortable rooms, you'll feel like you're back in the Renaissance times when François I ruled in France and Henry VIII reigned in England. The rooms have canopy beds and are decorated with embroided tapestry.
If you're feeling peckish, come to the "Deux couronnes" ("Two crowns") restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious barbecue.
