As announced in June, the luxury brand best known for its bags and totes has opened one of its largest stores on one of the world's most famous shopping avenues. The new Longchamp space was inaugurated on December 5th, before opening to the public the following day.

Founded 66 years ago, Longchamp's new store spans over 500 square meters (around 5,400f square feet) at number 77 on the prestigious Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, just around the corner from the famous gourmet restaurant Fouquet's.

"Paris is the capital of fashion, and the Champs-Élysées is the world's most beautiful avenue. The opening of this new store marks an important step in our history, and this is a very moving occasion for us," said Jean Cassegrain, CEO of Longchamp. "Paris is the birthplace of our brand...so the city constitutes an important part of our heritage."

The new space, with two floors, will serve as an elegant showcase for all of the label's latest collections, including its famous Le Pliage bags and other handbags, in addition to luggage, shoes and women's and men's ready-to-wear apparel.
