In rue de la Paix and Place Vendôme, the biggest jewellers have magnificent boutiques– veritable jewel cases for their creations.
In September 2012, the luxury high-end Swiss brand Jaeger-LeCoultre reopened its elegant boutique, decorated in understated luxury.
Louis Vuitton has opened a boutique and jewellery workshop at 23 place Vendôme.
Last autumn, the luxury French brand Chanel opened a high-end jewellery workshop above its boutique.
Every year, it presents two collections (linked to the haute couture calendar) exclusively with precious stones and unique pieces of jewellery.
Otheroutstanding brands— Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Dior Joaillerie, Boucheron, Chaumet — each have their own boutique.
And the watch maker Breguet has its largest international showcase here: 500 m² on two levels, a boutique on the ground floor and an exhibition area on the first floor.

For collectors and those who like exceptional time pieces, Paris has numerous landmark sites. Top watch-making brands like Cartier, Montblanc, Jaeger and Rolex have addresses in rue de la Paix, rue Royale and place Vendôme.
High-street brands like Swatch and Louis Pion also have shops throughout Paris. For contemporary watches, Wize & Ope has a shop in rue des Rosiers whilst the trendy brand Ice Watch opened two new areas in rue de Rennes and rue Vieille-du-Temple, in 2012.
