Historial de la Grande Guerre
Every year during the Centenary celebrations, the collections and exhibitions at the Historial de la Grande Guerre are brought up to date in order to include the latest historical research and to enhance displays relating to the chronological and geographical information of the First World War.
Throughout the year, the Historial de la Grande Guerre offers temporary exhibitions open to the public on unusual and highly original themes connected to the First World War. The Historial has amassed a collection of more than 70,000 objects from daily civil and military life.

What remains of the Great War? Centre Mondial de la Paix, Verdun (Meuse, Lorraine)
The aim of this 600m² exhibition open to the public is to offer visitors a chance to discover and understand the Great War and its impact on the 20th century, Europe and the world as a whole.
Comprising five sections, the “What remains of the Great War?” exhibition has a lay-out created for the Centenaire de la Grande Guerre, with a rich collection of unique exhibits complimented by numerous audio and video presentations, and is an absolute must for those
interested in the Centenary of the Great War.
