Roc des Alpes - La Clusaz 74220 La Clusaz fr

From 12th to 14th June 2015, 5,000 moutain-biking enthusiasts will come to participate in the third edition of Roc des Alpes - La Clusaz and enjoy an intense experience in the Aravis Moutains and the imposing setting of Haute-Savoie.

This is a weekend that will hit the heights for this next edition of an event that has become one of the major meetings of the mountain-biking season. Once again, it promises to be a spectacular and intense occasion for all the participants, who will also be able to take advantage of a free pass to enjoy the Alpine tracks of La Clusaz once the Roc has finished.

In sporting terms, on a programme boasting twenty events, all riders will find their heart's desire regardless of their level and discipline (with rides, cross-country, endurance and downhill events). With now two EnduRoc on Friday and Saturday, as well as heats for an Urban Super Special on Sunday, extreme thrill seekers will be especially spoiled for choice this year.

Those who think that the booming discipline of electric mountain-biking is an easy option are likely to be surprised. The E-Roc will challenge such pre-conceived ideas. With its 38 km and almost 2,000 elevation gain to tackle, the E-Roc is a very demanding and sporty race for its participants. The reward for such efforts is access to portions where traditional mountains bikes cannot go.

Whilst the Roc des Alpes on Sunday 14th June ( 51 km, 2,000 m elevation gain) will be the leading event of the weekend, the Roc Marathon (80 km, 3,170 m elevation gain) on Saturday will send its participants to the Col des Aravis pass with its unique view of Mont-Blanc, providing even greater opportunities of discovery and thrills.

The Col de Merdassier and Col de la Croix-Fry passes, La Ferriaz slope, Plateau de Beauregard, Champ Giguet and Crêt du Merle ridge are all spots that are becoming essential landmarks in the world of mountain-biking. These are places where the participants of the next Roc des Alpes-La Clusaz will once again experience unique thrills with the quality of service and events that have built the reputation of the Roc.
