"Dior and Impressionism" at Musée Christian Dior in Granville Rue d'Estouteville 50400 Granville fr

The Christian Dior museum in the town of Granville in Normandy, France is curating the "Impressions Dior" exhibition relating the tight connection between the acclaimed French luxury house and the impressionist movement.

As part of the 2013 Normandy Impressionist Festival, this exhibition showcases over 70 Dior dresses paired with photographs and paintings from Impressionist masters such as Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet and Edgar Degas.

The vast majority of the paintings presented by the "Impressions Dior" exhibit are loans from renowned Paris institutions such as Musée d'Orsay and Musée Marmottan.

An olfactory itinerary, called 'Impressions de parfumeur' (perfumer's impressions), will extend this artistic event in the gardens of the museum, also known as Villa Les Rhumbs, Christian Dior's childhood mansion.
