Christmas markets in and around Nice
December 1st to January 2nd
Entertainment, christmas chalets and even an champagne and oyster bar, there will be plenty of festive fun to be had this year in Place Messéna!
December 8 until January 6
Over sixty exquisitely decorated chalets will showcase the best local gastronomy and handicrafts, on the Allées de la Liberté.
December 22 and 23.
Throughout the day, a market will be help in the streets with musical entertainement. A day of fun and laughter, with cooking activities for children ; put together by the chef Jacques Chibois taking place in the Place aux Aires.
5 December to 6 January
From the first week of December, the magic of Christmas takes over in the Quai Albert 1er. Local produce is at the forefront of the Christmas markets, and local arts and crafts are proudly put on display for all to see. The town is transformed into a true winter wonderland ; and with a new christmas theme each year both children and adults will feel like they have stepped into a whole new world. December 31st is celebrated with a bang, with fireworks and DJs.

Perfect for some last minute Christmas shopping, indulging in some local specialities ; there’s even an ice rink ! Come and join us in Place de Gaulle from 10am-7pm.
Ice skating, Christmas market and plenty of entertainement at the Esplanade in the town centre.
15 and 16 December
The Village de Mougins will be the perfect setting for a magical Christmas. Come and see for yourself as we put on our best festive display and a unique Christmas market !
In the town square between 9am and 6pm, there will be over one hundred chalets displaying local produce ; everything from toys and clothing to cheeses and Foie Gras will be there for you to indulge in, why not take the opportunity to do some last minute Christmas shopping !? there will be plenty of entertainment for children and adults alike ; games and singing competitions – even a surprise visit from Father Christmas himself !
22 and 23 December
Come and see our beautiful dancing shows, our real-life creche ; and plenty of storytelling for the children ! The Christmas market will take place in the village square. Come and join in on our tombola ; and don’t miss out on the arrival of Father Christmas !
This years Christmas market will be opened by Julien Lepers. There will be musical entertainment and a welcome meal with complementary hot chocalate and mulled wine !
Come and meet our local artisans and try some of the delicious gastronomy on offer ! there are plenty of Christmas decorations to chose from, and a wealth of local handicrafts ! Come and join us between 9am and 5pm in the hall of the Petit Pré.
Come and see the beautiful handicrafts put on display in the chalets in the village square. Why not take home some of our local produce, and even some exquiste handmade christmas decorations ? there will be poney rides for the children, and even a chance to see Father Christmas and his sleigh !
A real traditional christmas market and all the entertainment that goes with it ! 15 and 16 December
Now in its second year, the « Alagauda » Christmas village will take place in the centre of the village of La Gaude. With a beautiful display of Christmas lights and festive cheer, you don’t want to miss out on our magical experience !
A true traditional gathering, perfect for finding that last minute Christmas present ! Chose from a variety of local produce, from sweet treats to exquisite decorations, there are plenty of stocking fillers to be found ! The market will take place on the Parking Hameau St-Jean on the Avenue de la République, between 9am and 6pm.
A truly traditional Christmas market showcasing long-standing Christmas traditions, “Les pieds dans la paille” has something for everyone! From artisan produce to acrobatics, come and join in the fun and even learn how some of the traditional handicrafts were done! Come and join in on the discovery at Place de la Libération between 9.30am and 8pm.
The Christmas market will this year be held in and around the local Salle des Fêtes. There will be plenty of free activities for children, and a chance to see Father Christmas!
16 and 23 December
The Christmas market will be showcasing the traditions of the “thirteen desserts”. There will be plenty to do at Place Adrien Barralis and Place du Plan; with poneyrides and animal parades to delight the younger members of the audience!
Step into the wonderful world of Christmas, and join in the festivities in a warm and welcoming enviroment. There will be plenty of Christmas decorations to see, with crèche displays and even a model toy village!
There will be musical entertainment throughout the day, and plenty of local produce to try too! Come down to Place Ciapagne between 9am and 5pm; and don’t miss out on your chance to see Father Christmas!
8 and 9 December
Christmas marked and carol singing with over two hundred singers! Why not join in the singing and then come and enjoy our wonderful Pistou soup? There will be guided tours during the day with music and festivities going on until 6pm. Come down to Place Charles de Gaulle and feel the Christmas magic!
December 9 – valley of the nativity scene figurines
This year will be the twelve year of our magical « Vallée des Santons » (Valley of the nativity scene figures) at the Place de la Mairie Tende. There will be delicious local produce to sample as well as astisanal produce
The Medieval Market will take place Place du Scourédon on Rue de l’Eglise. There will be plenty of medieval entertainment, with traditional produce and Christmas decorations on sale ; as well as dancing and street entertainment, from 10am until 6pm.
18-20 December 2012 at Garbejaire, Sophia-Antipolis and 22-24 December 2012 in Valbonne.
The festive fun will begin at Garbejaire ; the village will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with plenty of things to do. There will be shows and activities for children ; all ending with a fabulous fireworks display. There will be over a hundred wooden chalets with plenty of local delicacies on offer.
