Art Paris Art Fair
Art Paris Art Fair at the Grand Palais will host 145 international galleries from 20 countries, presenting an international panorama of modern and contemporary art including photography, design and prints.
Previously held by Singapore and South East Asia, Korea is the guest of honor for 2016.
Open to all forms of expression including design, Art Paris Art Fair offers a lens on art from after war to contemporary. To encourage discovery of the art, the fair is structured around themes: solo art expositions with Solo Show, emerging art in the Promesses section for new galleries, digital art and projections on the facade of the Grand Palais.
The VIP Program: "Springtime in Paris"
At the end of March, the 5th edition of the VIP section, "Springtime in Paris,” conceived for collectors and art professionals, underlines the dynamism of the Parisian scene while highlighting the new face of Paris in the 21st century with its new architecture and contemporary art spaces.
Korea is honored
After Singapore and South East Asia, Art Paris Art Fair reaffirms its strong connection to the East and welcomes in 2016 Korea, a country whose contemporary creation will be highlighted throughout the Year of France-Korea.
Entrusted to the commissioner of expositions Sang-A Chun, this invitation underscores the richness of the art scene in the "land of the morning calm," notably the emergence of contemporary art in the 1980s and the evolution to its vibrant state today.
On the program, a platform for Korean galleries from Seoul, Busan and Daegu, conferences, performances and a program of videos.
