Nature will lift your spirits here, as you walk in the mountains and the Mediterranean forest. From the Côtes hills to the Touloubre range, the upper valley of the Arc to the Durance, and the plains to the foothills of the Luberon...
Spreading from the foothills of Sainte-Victoire mountain, to the foot of the Luberon via the Durance, the wine-growing land of the Aix Region boasts many stately homes and estates that produce high-quality wines.
While the reds and rosés are appreciated the world over, the white wines should not be overlooked, even if they only represent 5% of production.
The red wines are rich, robust and often tannic, made from a wide range of varieties, especially Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cinsault. The rosés are the ideal accompaniment to Provençal cuisine in summer.
