Rendez-vous at submarine Casabianca's sail 2B Bastia fr

Launched in 1937, the submarine Casabianca was one of the rare French units not to be sunk with the rest of the fleet in Toulon, in November 1942. It fled instead to Algiers, and was used for intelligence missions to help the liberation of Corsica in September 1943.

Its sail (tower) is now on display in St. Nicolas Square, and it is one of the largest in Europe (300X90 metres).
