Rendez-vous at the abbey of Beaulieu-en-Rouergue ABBAYE DE BEAULIEU-EN-ROUERGUE 82330 Ginals fr

A contemporary art collection set in a Cistercian abbey

The Abbey of Beaulieu-en-Rouergue in Midi-Pyrénées was founded in the 12th century and was extended in the 17th and 18th century. It was partly demolished after the Revolution but was fortunately saved and restored in the 1960s. The 13th century church, chapter house and cellar form an excellent example of Cistercian architecture. Since 1970, the Abbey of Beaulieu-en-Rouergue has housed the Contemporary Art Centre with a fine collection and temporary exhibitions.
