Maison de Rhodes Hotel*****
Located in the historic heart of the city of Troyes, at the foot of the cathedral and former Bishop’s Palace, this timber framed house from the XIIth century once belonged to the Knights of the Order of Malta. Known as the Rhodes House, it has survived through the centuries to modern day.
Rooms and Services
Its beautiful oak exterior, and 3 stairways stemming from the courtyard, lead to 11 individually personalized rooms. Each room retains its remarkable wood timbers, with light beaming through glass, to illuminate the mix of antique and modern furniture. The atmosphere subtly combines ancient and contemporary styles, in a decidedly masculine form, as a perfect example of architecture from Thierry Carcassin.
Chef René Hachez lovingly prepares dishes from organic local farming, in our restaurant “La Commanderie”, open Tuesday to Saturday evenings.
Soon, a pool will be created in the former Priest’s garden, an intimate spot warmed by the sun late in the evening.
