La Grande Cosse **** in Languedoc-Roussillon Saint-Pierre la Mer 11560 FLEURY D’AUDE fr

A campsite in Aude, by the sea, at the heart of a protected area.

In Aude, on the Mediterranean coast in Languedoc-Roussillon, the Domaine de la Grande Cosse enjoys an exceptional setting for naturism.

Between the sea and mountains, halfway between Béziers and Narbonne and at the heart of a protected site under the Mediterranean sun, this isolated 25-hectare area benefits from private and direct access to a huge naturist beach of fine sand.

This 2 km beach has all the major assets needed for watersports and fishing; a snack bar offers a quality menu allowing you to stay by the sea all day if you want.

In the background, you will appreciate the view of the Massif de la Clape and its vineyards. You can take a trip there on foot or by bike.
Thanks to the development of the Narbonnaise Mediterranean regional natural park, the site is bordered by a nature reserve which is home to several bird species (including egrets and pink flamingos).

The 4-star “La Grande Cosse” campsite offers a range of open-air accommodation options, suitable for couples and families with children (infants to teenagers), including mobile homes for disabled people. A wide range of activities is suggested for all ages.

A region rich in places of interest

From La Grande Cosse, you can discover a region full of treasures: Béziers which overhangs the river Orb, with its many churches; Narbonne, the birthplace of Charles Trenet, the “Singing Madman” and its Canal de la Robine; Carcassonne and its marvellous walled city; Perpignan, with its Palace of the Kings of Majorca and its Castillet.

Discovering the vineyards and cellars of Frontignan, Corbières, Rivesaltes and Roussillon will delight wine tourists, whilst history buffs can follow the route of the Cathar castles or visit the Salses fortress. Parents can take their children to the Sigean animal sanctuary where the animals live and roam freely.
